Do you need your Winter Fuel Payment in 1217-18?
If you feel that you could manage without it, why not pass it on to someone whose payment will not be enough to keep them warm and well fed this winter?

Judith - I've just found your blog, as pointed out to me by a friend - and may I just say that I'm thrilled to see such a positive, philosophical and joyful attitude to life.
And (evidence your 70th birthday photo) you've got enviably excellent legs.
I turn 45 next week. I aim to have your mindset when I'm 80.
